Writer

Marc Johnstone has been a creative science fiction and fantasy writer since his school days. His old English teacher, an intelligent and humorous man from Dublin in Southern Ireland had encouraged Marc to become a writer after he had won a prize for his Sci-fi fantasy thriller story. His 30,000-word epic had been written during the school holidays. The following year, Marc won another local literature prize for another Sci-fi story, “The Gods of Darkness”. His English teacher still believed Marc could become a writer, creating epic books or even a journalist working for a major newspaper.

Unfortunately, Marc didn’t listen to that teacher’s advice and by accident ended up choosing a different career path. Marc’s new career allowed him to work in many different business sectors. These assignments also involved a lot of international travel to some of the most interesting locations on the planet. During these assignments, Marc wrote several short stories whilst he was relaxing in his hotel room. These stories included crime thrillers, technology and science fiction, but he never gave up on his passion for writing. Over the years, Marc has also written various operational documents on business processes for leading organizations. Some of Marc’s articles have been published in various technology and supply chain publications, both in hard copy and online.

Marc has always been a science fiction writer at heart. The human imagination is a wonderful thing. It allows us to explore new technologies, discover distant new worlds and meet new species in our galaxy or beyond. Science fiction can also inspire readers to learn more about the unknown and maybe guide them into a new career in science or technology or dream about the stars of tomorrow.
